U' Paisi (The Village)

One of Linosa’s beautiful traditions is to paint the houses with two colors: one for the facade and one for the sides, without a precise code and using the colors that we like most. The final result that characterizes the streets of the village is a continuous meeting of yellow and red, white, blue and pink. Linosa houses are lived from the outside, sitting on sidewalks and chatting with those who pass by, meeting people who come and go, bring the chair to the neighbors’ door for improvised meetings, and greet passersby with the typical “hello scià!”. On the contrary, the idea of this room is to bring the outside of the houses inside to recreate the joy that the streets of the town gives away.
